今回はノーフォーク島滞在時に体験したツアーやしたことを3つ紹介します。もちろん、これ以上にもたくさんのことをしました。今回は、その中でも特に印象にのこってることについて紹介したいと思います。
This time, I want to share three activities I did whilst in Norfolk Island. Of course I did more activities while staying in Norfolk Island.

島内周回ツアー/Island Tour

このツアーはノーフォーク島の観光の一環で企画されていると思います。朝もしくは午後にツアーが開催されています。空港に着くとホテル送迎のバスに乗り前にツアーを開催する旨のチラシとピックアップタイムを教えてくれます。
This island is a part of Island Tourism. Tours are held twice a day in the morning and afternoon. Upon arrival to the Norfolk Island airport arrival gate, hotel pick up buses are waiting for you. The person from the bus gives you a brochure about this tour and lets you know the pick up time.

ツアー当日、滞在先のホテルまで観光バスで迎えに来てくれます。そして、3―4時間かけて島の有名観光地を解説付きで回ってくれます。
On the day of the tour, you will be picked up by the tour company bus like below in the photo. You will spend 3-4 hours touring around the famous locations in Norfolk Island.

途中に停車する目的地の一つでは、Morning Teaのおもてなしがあります。ここで食べた自家製スコーンとクリームはピカイチでした。
As part of this tour, you will be provided with morning tea. The scones are served by a local family and are really tasty (You will need 5-10 dollars thank you money for that).

他には島内のチャペルを見学したりします
Apart from Morning tea, you will also have time to explore this gorgeous chapel located in the western part of Norfolk Island.

この場所以外にも島中の観光スポットをドライバー自らジョークや笑い話を交えながら紹介してくれました。
Apart from the locations mentioned today, your driver will go through more destinations while introducing stories with jokes and funny stories.

そして、もう一つ重要な事実はドライバーの名字はChristianでした。この島ではChristian という名字の人がたくさんいます。その理由は次回にでも。。。
And, the most important fact is that the driver’s surname name was Christian. There are many Christians in this island. Maybe we will talk about this next time.

アンソンベイでの夕焼けと夜景を楽しみながらのBBQ/Enjoy Sunset and Night Sky at Anson Bay

ノーフォーク島では島のいたるところで自然を満喫できます。中でもエミリーベイと同じくらい時間を過ごしたのはアンソンベイでした。アンソンベイは丘からの風景だけでなく、夕焼けや星空も綺麗に見ることができました。
Of course, you can enjoy beautiful nature around this island. I spent a lot of time at Anson Bay as well as Emily Bay. There is a lookout point at Anson Bay where you can see beautiful views and the sunset.

なかでもアンソンベイの丘の上にはコンクリートでつくられたバーベキューコンロが置かれていました。そこでは自由にバーベキューをすることができました。他の人も過去にしているのか、島の人が置いてくれているのかわかりませんでしたが、焚き木や薪も置かれていました。
At Anson Bay, there is a BBQ spot. Anyone can make a fire unless there is a fire ban or restriction. You can find sticks and kindling to start the fire. It must be popular activity to do since we found a box of sticks and kindling.

スーパーや肉屋で揃えた食材でバーベキューをしました。ただ店やカフェで食べるだけでなくてもこういった食事の仕方もあるので試してみてはどうでしょうか？
We prepared food and items that we bought from the supermarket in the centre of the town, and had a bbq. This is another way to enjoy your meal in Norfolk Island.

夕陽をみながらのバイキングIsland Fish Fry

ノーフォーク島ツアーの中で人気があるツアーというと、Island Fish Fry 毎週火曜日と木曜日の夜に開催されています。島西部のPuppy’s Point という見晴らしの素晴らしい場所で行われています。ダンスあり、歌ありで、眺めを見ながらのディナーとなります。
One of the most popular tours in Norfolk Island is the “Island Fish Fry” on every Tuesday and Thursday evening. This activity takes place in Puppy’s Point at the western part of the island. You can also enjoy the beautiful view from here. This dinner has Tahitian dancing, singing and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

値段は一人中140ドル（送迎付きで162ドル）です。140 dollars/person or 162 dollars if you need a lift from your accomodation.

夕飯のお皿、後ろに見えるのがココナッツブレッド(Dinner plate, coconut bread at the back)

そして、ここので食べられるCoconut Breadはとてもおいしく、島である日曜マーケットでそのレシピを購入することができます。
The coconut bread we ate at this dinner was very tasty and you can actually get the recipe at the Sunday market.

もちろん、今回紹介したアクティビティは数ある多くの中での一部です。これ以外にもたくさん楽しいアクティビティもありますし、個人的にも紹介した以上に経験しました。
